So I take photos almost everytime Keelie has a major break out of her rash, when she was just over a year old she got burned on her face- well the rash appears exactly where her scars from the burns are- you can't usually see the scars until now- with this lovely rash . Thankfully the rash thy appears where the scars are doesnt usually get welts or hives with it.

Day 39: Free ballin

So my little man had his first horrible butt rash- I know you so wanted to know that!! Anyways we tried numerous times to keep his diaper on him but his opinion of treatment for a rash is obviously free ballin it!!

Day 38: Keelie Loves the Px

So we made a trip to the px to waste sometime in between Drs appts and one of the large tv displays was playing Lady & the Tramp so Keelie just plopped right down in the middle of the floor to watch!

Day 37: Innocent

DO NOT let the cute face fool you- he is sneaky and very guilty of this mess!!

Day 36:Cake Batter Frosting

I used the frosting for my oreo cookies

Cake Batter Buttercream
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 – 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup boxed cake mix (Funfetti is obv best)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Beat butter until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar a 1/2 cup at a time, then cake mix and vanilla. Beat on medium high for 3-4 minutes. Spread a tablespoon on each cookie and sandwich.

Day 35: Homemade Oreo Cookies

Whisk together 1 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled) with 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
Melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and allow to cool slightly
Whisk together butter, sugar, chocolate, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 egg.
In a separate bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda.
yes keelie quickly pointed out what this looks like
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. It should have the consistency of play-dough. Allow the dough to come together for an hour at room temperature.

Then, shape the dough into a log 10 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Roll the log in parchment paper, then roll again in another piece of parchment. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut the log into 1/4 inch slices and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Check the cookies around 17 minutes. They are ready when the centers are slightly firm.

Day 34: Family Twister

Day 33: The American doll can share

So my little chubby monkey seems to think Keelies american girl doll has to share everything with him. Irritates the crap out of Keelie- which in turn makes deklan do it more cause he thinks its funny. His newest idea is that her bed is the perfect size and place for him!! ( Keelies mad in the picture and Deklan was laying down trying to cover himself up, but you know kids as soon as you pull the camera out they move.)

Day 32: Pie Crust Cookies

they look burned but they aren't its from the cinnamon

One chilled pie crust- I just used the boxed ones
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon or any other sweet spice you'd like

Handling as lightly as possible, and on a floured surface, roll one-fourth of the whole batch (or 1/2 of a half batch) of the chilled dough into 1/8th inch thickness. Not too thick...not too thin. We don't want them terribly fragile. Lightly dust dough with flour when needed. When using the boxed ones the crust is already rolled out and perfect so just take it out of the package roll it out and cut!

Cut into strips, circles, diamonds...whatever you like and place on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon-sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until just turning golden. Allow to cool completely.
